All meat products are best kept in a sealed container in a cool dry place – preferably the refrigerator. Store just like any other cold deli meat that you purchase from the supermarket. If stored correctly, the products will last between 1-2 weeks. Consume within 7 days of opening the bag.
To prolong its lifespan try storing in a freezer (NOTE: this may dry your product out slightly). Vacuum sealing your products and keeping it in the freezer can also extend its lifespan longer.
Our beef jerky may contain small traces of gluten in the soy sauce and spices. Many of our customers who are sensitive to gluten still enjoy our products without issues. We are currently working on a Gluten free line of beef jerky!
All our products are made in Western Australia from the finest MSA grade beef and premium lamb that Australia has to offer. We take pride in our products and choose to support our local economy as much as we possibly can.
Traditionally, Biltong is a South African method of drying meat. Biltong is dried as a full piece of topside beef steak before sliced. You will find that Biltong is softer in the middle as the product dries from the outside in, leaving the centre moist and juicy. In comparison, Jerky is sliced into thin slabs before the drying process begins. This results in a chewier, harder product which is not wet like Biltong. All Jerky is marinated in soy sauce resulting in a sweeter taste.
From time to time the vacuum sealed bag may pop due to sharp edges on the product or spices. Not to worry, we use oxygen absorbers to counter this. Please inspect the product, then place in the fridge, in an air tight container.
Our products and meat supplier are both Halal certified.
